“Anton” digital assistant for Rostelecom
Exhibitions / “Anton” digital assistant for Rostelecom
About the project
The “Anton” digital assistant for Rostelecom: a full-length avatar on a transparent screen answers questions about the company and its student programmes by voice.
For Rostelecom we made a digital assistant — an avatar named Anton. He stands full-length on a transparent screen, with a microphone on a stand in front of it. A person says hello and asks a question aloud, Anton answers by voice, and his lips move in time with his speech.
The installations were made for three Moscow universities. The same order included the interface design for a photo booth.

The task
The client needed someone to talk to — someone you could ask about Rostelecom and its programmes for students and graduates and hear the answer straight away. The deadline was 17 days: the contract annex was signed on 20 March, and delivery was due by 6 April 2026.
What we did
Avatar
Anton is a young man in glasses and a dark polo neck. He has two states: greeting, when he waves, and waiting, when he stands and listens. The videos were prepared on a black background. On the transparent screen only the figure is visible, and through it everything behind the glass.
Conversation
The visitor speaks into the microphone. The program recognises the speech, composes an answer and voices it. Anton’s face and lips are animated to this speech in real time during the conversation. If you say “stop”, “enough” or “that will do”, Anton falls silent.
Knowledge base
Answers draw on two collections. The first is about the company: lines of work, values, staff training and careers. The second is about programmes for students and graduates: the paid internship “Your first”, the remote “Digital practice” and the selection stages.
Graphics and script
The conversation script, design sketches, graphic elements and their animation.
Photo booth
The start and finish pages of the interface.
Installation
We installed the program on site, set it up and tested it.
How it is built
A transparent screen on a white base, with a microphone on a stand in front of it.
Speech is recognised and synthesised by Yandex SpeechKit, and answers are composed by YandexGPT. The program finds the information it needs in a knowledge base using semantic search.
The face is animated from the speech audio locally, on the computer’s graphics card, at 25 frames per second.
Result
The program and design were handed over on 6 April 2026. In a video from 7 April people talk to Anton live: they say hello, ask what he can tell them about and ask a question about Gagarin’s flight. Commissioning on site was completed by 20 April 2026.
