Gesture-controlled holographic cube for the Nissan stand
Exhibitions / Gesture-controlled holographic cube for the Nissan stand
About the project
A holographic cube on the Nissan stand: with gestures, a visitor flips through a 3D menu and watches videos about Nissan electric cars.
The Nissan stand at an exhibition featured a holographic cube: the image hangs inside a transparent display case. Control is contactless — a visitor brings a hand up to the cube and a motion sensor picks up the gesture. The menu is made of translucent spheres around a car: a gesture opens a section, and the sphere unfolds into a video.
The video does not name the exhibition or the year. The first version of the video was posted on Vimeo in December 2011, so the cube was in operation no later than 2011.
This is an early work by Artem Maznov, co-founder of 8vision, made before the studio was founded, under the HYPARXIS Interactive Systems brand. The video comes from the HYPARXIS archive on Vimeo.
