About the project

Software for the stand screens at SPIEF 2026: a web video player for changing the content on the screens in real time, and a signing ceremony mode with editable content.

On 3–6 June 2026 Expoforum hosted the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum. DOM.RF took part with its own stand, and the stand’s general contractor commissioned us to make the software for controlling its screens.

The task

The client needed software for controlling the content of the stand screens in real time, with the option to switch the screens to signing ceremony mode and edit its content. The screens had to run in sync. Deadline — 25 May 2026, before the forum opened.

What we did

Scenario

We defined the goals and format, developed the structure of the application and the user journey map, and wrote the texts.

Interface

We drew and laid out the graphic elements. Among them is an animation of a glowing highlight that runs around the perimeter of a panel in 20 seconds; it is made on a transparent background.

Video player and signing ceremony mode

A web application in the form of a video player outputs content to the stand screens and can be controlled in real time. In signing ceremony mode the screens show separate content that can be edited.

Screens

We set up the screens and synchronised them within a single build of the software.

How it is built

The software is a web application; it was handed over to the client on a flash drive. The highlight animation is recorded in ProRes 4444 with a transparent background: a 2048×1024 frame, 60 frames per second, a 20-second loop.

Result

The software was ready and accepted by the client on 25 May 2026, before the forum opened on 3 June.
