Projection mapping on a car for the launch of the ninth-generation Honda Accord

About the project
A projection show on a fabric-covered saloon and the screen behind it: a countdown, light graphics and the story of the new ninth-generation Honda Accord.
For the launch of the ninth-generation Honda Accord, a projection show was created: the image falls on the car, covered with fabric, and on the screen behind it. The show begins with a countdown and an “Engine Start/Stop” button; then lines of light run over the car, the headlights come on and the body frame emerges, while the screen shows graphics and captions about the model.
The video does not say where or when the launch took place. It was posted on Vimeo in February 2013 with the caption “2012 Accord 9”.
This is early work by Artem Maznov, co-founder of 8vision, made before the studio was founded, under the HYPARXIS Interactive Systems brand. The video comes from the HYPARXIS archive on Vimeo.

Show script
The projection is aligned with the shape of the body: lines run along the wings and doors, and the headlights “light up” with the projector's light. The screen shows rhythmic stripes, a city, a wireframe model of the Accord and captions about the new features: “New MacPherson strut suspension”, “Automatic transmission”, “Innovative safety systems”, the 2.4 engine. In the finale, the wireframe emerges across the entire body.
