Holographic presenter on a transparent screen
Events / Holographic presenter on a transparent screen
About the project
A “holographic hostess” at a party: a life-size presenter on a transparent screen addresses the guests, with an animated emblem between her appearances.
At a party in a dark hall stood a life-size transparent screen, with a projector on an illuminated plinth beside it. A presenter in a light blue dress appeared on the screen and addressed the guests, as if she were standing among them. Between her appearances, an animated emblem assembled itself from fragments on the screen and broke apart again.
The video does not say what the event was or who it was for; it was posted on Vimeo in May 2013.
This is early work by Artem Maznov, co-founder of 8vision, made before the studio was founded, under the HYPARXIS Interactive Systems brand. The video comes from the HYPARXIS archive on Vimeo.

How it is built
The transparent screen stands upright in the hall, with the projector on a plinth beside it. Only the image glows, so the presenter seems to be standing in the hall, while the guests and the room remain visible through the screen.
