About the project
Two HYPARXIS demos: a Fashion Week magazine on a multitouch screen and a 3D character that mirrors a person's movements via Kinect.
These are not commissions but HYPARXIS's own demos, filmed in the office; both videos were posted on Vimeo in November 2011.
The multitouch magazine is an issue of Fashion Week magazine on a large touch screen. Pages are turned with a finger, like paper ones, spreads open to full screen, and photos are enlarged with a gesture.
Kinect: a 3D character stands on the screen, and a Kinect sensor reads the movements of the person in front of it; the character copies their arm swings and kicks.
This is early work by Artem Maznov, co-founder of 8vision, made before the studio was founded, under the HYPARXIS Interactive Systems brand. The videos come from the HYPARXIS archive on Vimeo.

Fashion Week magazine on a large touch screen: the sections “Catch inspiration”, “Cultivating style” and “Inspire me”, and reports from Paris and Milan. A page is pulled by its corner and turned over; photos are opened up with two fingers.
Kinect
A Kinect sensor under the screen reads the person's pose, and the 3D character on the screen moves with them.
