Promo film for the Vitaly Brinkmann School

A 3D film for the Vitaly Brinkmann School: a dark hall with a golden lotus and classical statues, and a voice-over inviting viewers to take the “are you on track?” test.

The 3 minute 12 second film for the Vitaly Brinkmann School came out in September 2021. A voice-over explains that people fall into the “on-track” and the “off-track”, and invites viewers to take a test: in 15 minutes, rate yourself against seven criteria of being “on track”.

The action takes place in a dark round hall with golden arches. A crystal sphere and symbols rise from a golden lotus; around it appear translucent and golden figures modelled on classical statues, and columns topped with glowing orbs; in the finale the figures form circles around the lotus.

The scenes contain more than 10 million polygons; we reworked the classical statues through sculpting to match the style of the film. Rendering in Redshift took more than 70 hours, post-production was done in Adobe After Effects and sound design in Adobe Premiere Pro, and the text is read by a professional voice actor.
