Interactive game for the Roszheldor stand at the “Transport of Russia — 2015” exhibition
Exhibitions / Interactive game for the Roszheldor stand at the “Transport of Russia — 2015” exhibition
About the project
A gesture-controlled game for the Roszheldor stand at the “Transport of Russia — 2015” exhibition: the visitor drives a handcar along a 3D track, collecting coins and steering round obstacles.
On 3–5 December 2015 Gostiny Dvor in Moscow hosted the 9th International Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, part of “Transport Week”. Our game ran on the stand of the Federal Railway Transport Agency (Roszheldor): a large screen on the wall with a motion sensor beneath it.
The visitor stands in front of the screen and uses body movements to steer a worker in an orange vest who rides a handcar along a 3D track through rocks, forest and sea. Along the way he collects coins and bonuses, dodges obstacles such as level-crossing barriers and passes through arches bearing the names of Roszheldor universities — PGUPS and RGUPS. The handcar has several routes.
At the finish the player is awarded the “honorary title of handcar driver”, and their score is shown next to the best result — so visitors compete with one another.
