Multitouch table for the LUKOIL stand at SPIEF 2016
Exhibitions / Multi-touch table for the LUKOIL stand at SPIEF-2016
About the project
A 3D presentation for a touch table on the LUKOIL stand at SPIEF-2016: sections about the company, a map of operations, a video gallery and a guide to the V. Filanovsky field.
The 20th St Petersburg International Economic Forum took place in St Petersburg on 16–18 June 2016 — for the first time at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre. LUKOIL turned 25 that year; the company’s stand carried the slogan “Always in motion”.
For the touch table on this stand we made a multimedia presentation in a 3D environment: the guest browses the sections with touches and gestures right on the table.

What we did
Splash screen and section carousel
The presentation opens with a 3D scene featuring the LUKOIL logo and the panels “Global Leader”, “LUKOIL — a national company”, “25 years of continuous forward movement” and “Map of operations”. Next come the sections, arranged on a 3D carousel: “Corporate film”, “Video gallery”, “About the company”, “Rainbow of good deeds”, “Licard”.
Map and company materials
The map of operations shows the company’s facilities in Russia and abroad. The sections contain illustrated virtual booklets and magazines, press releases, stories about social and sports projects, and high-resolution videos in a built-in player.
Guide to the V. Filanovsky field
A separate section is a guide to the facilities of the V. Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea. The platforms are shown in a 3D scene above the sea, and the information is arranged in tabs: “Structure”, “People”, “Safety”, “Safety technologies”, “Reliability”, “Environmental performance”, “Technologies”, “Integration”, “Location”. The “People” tab, for example, covers the corporate training centre where staff are prepared for emergencies at sea.
How it is built
The presentation runs on a horizontal touch screen built into the table and is controlled by touches and gestures. The environment is entirely 3D: between sections the camera moves through the scene.
Result
The table was in operation on the LUKOIL stand at SPIEF-2016 — as our video from the forum shows: a guest browses the sections and opens the map, the video gallery and the field guide.
